Two midshipmen from the Academy, Class of 113th, Song, Ji-jun and Liu Enqi, were selected as Kaohsiung Outstanding Youth in Higher Education.

Song, Ji-jun, a third-year student in the Department of Marine Science, has previously received grants from the Ministry of Science and Technology for undergraduate research projects. He has also received special honors for project exhibitions and competitions at the College of Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University. Additionally, he won first place in the form category of the 110th Chialo Mountain Cup Taekwondo Competition held in Chiayi City.

The 112th Kaohsiung Outstanding Youth Commendation Ceremony was held at Kaohsiung University of Aerospace.

He is currently serving as the president of the midshipmen, association and has received research scholarships from National Sun Yat-sen University. He has also participated in the 2021 Intercollegiate Physics Debate Competition, academic exchanges at National Taiwan Ocean University, and the Defense Advanced Technology Research Program and Marine Blue Carbon Program, where he demonstrated outstanding performance.
