The United States Naval Academy Holds a Grand "Ship Selection Night"

The United States Naval Academy recently held the grand and solemn "Ship Selection Night" for its fourth-year students. After three and a half years of academic training, these future officers made their selections for the first step of their naval careers. Among the participants were students from Taiwan, recommended by the Republic of China (ROC) Naval Academy. One of these promising individuals will return to Taiwan and serve aboard the PFG2-1101 naval ship, enhancing the combat capabilities of the 146th Fleet.

The Ministry of National Defense's public budget for 2025 reveals that this November, the Navy will send two personnel to the United States Naval Academy to engage in military educational exchange, curriculum design, and organizational operations. Additionally, to broaden international perspectives, the Navy will send four more personnel to the U.S. to study the current practices in troop training and management, which will serve as valuable references for improving Taiwan's military personnel system.
