Chen Enxian, the first female exchange student from Taiwan to complete enlistment training at a military academy in a Latin American ally, was awarded the "Red Beret," symbolizing the honor of completing her training. Despite facing pressure from an unfamiliar environment and language barriers, she motivated herself to persevere through the challenges with the mantra, "If you have the courage to make a choice, you must have the courage to see it through."At 19 years old, Chen Enxian, a first-year cadet at the Taiwan Naval Academy, chose to apply for an exchange program at the "Escuela Politécnica" (Military Academy) in Guatemala, a Latin American ally. After enduring 45 days of rigorous enlistment training, she was awarded the "Red Beret," officially becoming a military academy student and making history as the first female exchange student from Taiwan to study at a Latin American allied military academy.
