The Naval Officers School and Meiho University of Science and Technology jointly organized the “80th Anniversary of the Victory in the War of Resistance (World War II) Special Lecture and National Defense Education Experience for All People in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Taitung” on the third floor of the library on March 28th, inviting the supervisors of 25 colleges and universities in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Taitung, and other regions, as well as military training and security partners, totaling more than 50 people, to share in the grand event together.

    In addition to emphasizing the importance of uniting with the World League for Democracy to fight against invasion and save our own country, the event also invited Professor Shen Tianyu, former director of the Naval Historical Museum of the Navy, to deliver a special lecture on the topic of “The Navy's Construction of the Blue Hazel” for the first time, which was a departure from the previous land-based view of history, and was instead based on the viewpoint of the Navy, in order to reminisce about the historical facts of the Navy's great sages and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in the defense of the nation.

   It is hoped that through the realization of the red-bloodedness and patriotic fervor of our forefathers and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in exchange for the restoration of the sovereignty of the R.O.C., the restoration of the lost territories, and the sovereignty of the rivers and seas in spite of various disadvantages, we hope to carry on the spirit of the forefathers and martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the defense of the R.O.C. 80 years ago.
