In order to cultivate students' basic ship operation ability and to integrate the concept of hydrodynamics, the school arranged the “Windsurf Training Course” for the students of Year 116 during the summer training period. Unlike the operation of mechanically-powered ships, the students need to understand the influence of wind force and current speed, and to judge the angle of the sails and the direction of the wind in order to keep the windsurf boards on the course. This not only helped students to understand the impact of “weather” on sailing, but also tested their ability to cope with emergencies and their sailing skills.
